2. Re-upholstering & Core Repair (Best for Original Look)
- Fixing the Cracked Base: Remove the old leather and foam. Repair the plastic substrate using a 2-part epoxy reinforced with fiberglass cloth or liquid plastic welder (ABS/Polycarbonate glue).
- Recovering the Leather:
- Carefully cut and peel off the damaged leather cover to use as a flat pattern.
- Scrape away deteriorated foam padding and lay down thin 2mm high-density foam or neoprene.
